Animal's Best Friend Fund, Inc. is an all volunteer, non-profit animal welfare group dedicated to reducing animal overpopulation in Kalamazoo and Van Buren Counties.
Since Animal's Best Friend was founded in 1981, we have helped spay and neuter over 38,969 cats and dogs. This our current total through January 31, 2009. Our efforts have saved thousands of unwanted kittens and puppies from being born.
Providing a subsidy for spay or neuter surgery is our main function. We also provide a limited feral cat program where we will pay for the neuter or spay and the felv/fiv combo test. Funding for this program is limited. Please call for details.
December Event Update: Homeless cats all over the country are daring to dream again, dreaming of the possibility of being in a home for this holiday season. Why the newfound hope? Because No More Homeless Pets Network Partners across the country are participating in the $5 Felines Adoption Event to encourage people to open their hearts and homes to a new feline friend.ABF is participating in the $5 Feline Adoption Event on Saturday, December 3 at PSP on Westnedge from 2:00-6:00 p.m. All these adorable, adoptable felines are spayed/neutered and current on vaccinations. Adoption fees are being drastically reduced to help these cats find homes and make their dreams come true this holiday season! Shelters and rescue groups are overflowing with cats, so you're sure to find the perfect match. And when you adopt, you'll be giving a new life to your new best friend and saving the life of another cat who can now be rescued.
Donations
Donations to Animal's Best Friend are tax deductible and can be sent to us at P.O. Box 443, Oshtemo, MI 49077. At least 90% of your donation goes to fund spay/neuter surgeries.Our policy is that 10% or less of your donation is used for administrative expenses.
